Karicare Follow-On Formula is designed to meet the needs of growing infants 6 months or older. Recent recommendations discourage the use of ordinary cow's milk for babies under 12 months of age. Karicare Follow-On Formula is whey based and specially formulated to provide more iron and esssential vitamins compared to ordinary cow's milk. Karicare Follow-On can be given by cup, bottle, or mixed with baby foods.
For infants over 12 months Karicare Toddler is designed to meet the needs of the active toddler who is a fussy eater. Karicare Toddler supplies essential nutrients to compliment a toddler's diet and additional complex carbohydrates to help calcium absorption and balance intestinal flora.
Always wash hands before preparing the feed.
1. Wash cup or bottle and utensils in hot, soapy water or detergent. Rinse well.
2. Boil water and allow to cool to approximate feeding temperature (37oC).
3. Always measure the volume of cooled, boiled water into a clean cup, bottle or measuring jug.
4. Fill the scoop lightly and level with a knife, avoid compacting formula. Add the required number of level scoops of instantised powder.
5. Always add one level scoop of powder for each 50mL of water.
6. Stir briskly to dissolve the instantised powder.
Use only the included scoop. Store in a cool dry place. After opening keep container airtight and use contens within four weeks. For all brands of formula it is safer to use immediately after they are prepared.
Breast milk is best for babies. Before you decide to use this product, consult your doctor or health worker for advice.
Follow instructions exactly. Prepare bottles and teats as directed. Do not change proportions of powder except on medical advice. Incorrect preparation can make your baby very ill. Infants over 6 months should be offered foods in addition to formula. Karicare 2 Follow-On Formula: based on whey dominant cow's milk proteins.
