Prepare only one bottle at a time as close as possible to feeding. If you prepare a bottle in advance, keep it in the back of the fridge (4oC) for a maximum of 12 hours. Throw away any prepared formula after 12 hours.
Preparation:
1. Wash bottles, teats, caps and knife. Sterilise by boiling these for 5 minutes or using an approved sterilising agent.
2. Boil fresh drinking water and allow to cool until it is lukewarm.
3. Before preparing formula, wash your hands. Measure the required amount of water into the sterilised feeding bottle (see feeding table on can).
4. Using only the enclosed scoop, add required number of scoops to water in feeding bottle, leveling off each scoop with the back of knife or lip of can.
5. Always add one level scoop of powder per 50mL water. When powder is added to measured water, the total volume of prepared feed is slightly greater.
6. Cap bottle and shake until powder dissolves. Before feeding make sure prepared formula is warm, not hot, by testing on your wrist.
7. Heinz Nurture Gold Follow-on formula can be fed by bottle or cup.
Throw away any unfinished feed.
Close lid tightly after use. Store in a cool dry place and use within 4 weeks of opening.
